Is Sari expensive in India?
I'm making a book report and i need to know so it will be accurate if i say a woman wearing Sari is rich. Thanks!! ten points for best answer!! 
A cheap sari sold on the streets could be 150 to 900 INR with cheaper stitching and machine embroidery.. (Chiffons and cottons)
A nicer one would be 1800 to 5000 INR which could be chosen for formal wear and ocassions.. (silk blends with 'hand' work embroidery)
A wedding sari could be 10000-35000 INR or more, depending on design, brand, and the budget of the customer! (pure silk one with heavy and beautiful embroidery done totally by hand and can weigh as much as 5-10kilos or sometimes even more)
